The June 11 Toffee Club grand opening was huge success, both for the new British-style soccer pub and for 4WU. Thanks to the pub’s generous profit-sharing, we netted $500, which will go directly to players fees, making this summer special for more than a few local kids.
The pub was packed for the England and USA games in the Copa and Euros, respectively, with viewers spilling out into the street and into the beer garden. The street-soccer pitch saw action all day too, with your own 4WU staff making a noble effort vs. much younger competition!
Be sure to check out this new family-friendly watering hole in Soccer City, on the corner of 10th and Hawthorne. Great place to watch the global game with like-minded fanatics.
