Give. Unite. Inspire.

Great news delivered during half time at the Portland Timbers vs. San Jose Earthquakes game on September 7, 2014.  The Portland Timbers Community Fund announced that it will award 4 Worlds United Soccer Alliance with a generous grant.  The Portland Timbers Community Fund grant will support the two main arms of 4WU outreach – our scholarship program and summer soccer programs.

Our scholarship program supports individual players who seek to join local soccer clubs, both at the recreational and competitive level. The standard “pay-to-play” framework systemically prevents many impoverished players from participation. 4WU works with clubs to reduce typical club fees (usually by 75%), then covers the remaining expenses with scholarships.

Our summer soccer programs bring together over 100 children with volunteers from the surrounding communities and puts them on a level playing field. This connects the 1st and 3rd world cultures and promotes fair play, tolerance, and creativity.
