Summer Soccer

The Multnomah Athletic Foundation is saying “Yes!” to 4WU’s Summer Soccer Programming. Thanks to the Multnomah Athletic Foundation, 4 Worlds United Soccer Alliance has received a $3,000 grant to help fund our Summer Soccer Coordinator to organize coaches and volunteers, as well as oversee “Soccer in the Park” this coming June – September of 2016.

Throughout the summer 4WU invites immigrant and refugee children to assemble and play pick-up games in parks adjacent to their low-income housing. “Soccer in the Park” participants don colorful pennies and play competitively while receiving coaching from mentors dedicated to brightening their futures.

4WU is thrilled to partner with the Multnomah Athletic Foundation because our missions are very similar. The Multnomah Athletic Foundation believes in “achievement through athletics.” The MAF is committed to supporting amateur athletics, activities that promote discipline, leadership and skill development.

We are certain the Multnomah Athletic Foundation will be pleased with its investment in 4WU because we foster these qualities. Through “Soccer in the Park” we aim to provide opportunities to children living in some of Portland’s most vulnerable communities. We invite you to watch our energetic and talented players scrimmage at “Soccer in the Park”. Keep an eye on our website for times and locations in 2016.
