4 Worlds United players net 16 summer league spots

The summer soccer season is here, and 4WU is off to a great start. On top of the $5,000 grant we received from The Portland Timbers Community Fund, we managed to get 16 of our players picked up by competitive teams

throughout Portland. That’s 16 of the 20 that attended tryouts, a new record for us, and a new challenge. It’s a good problem to have, but now we need more drivers than ever to get those kids to games and practices this summer.

So if you have time to help, or know someone else who can, please contact us today!

4WU also hosts recreational games all summer for kids of all skill levels, in parks all around PDX, and just as they have in years past, Portland Timbers players will also visiting those kids on two nights in June, as part of PTFC’s Stand Together Week. This means everything to our young players, and is just another way that Soccer City comes together for good.
